Black Panthers

     The "Black Panthers". A party of African Americans who gathered for self-defense against the brutalitly on streets by police. This party was founded in 1966 in Oakland, California. In the 1960s, an exceeding amount of 2,000 operated in several major cities.
       Shoot-outs would break out and eventually the Panthers turned from violence to concentrate on conventional politics and social services in that of black neighbourhoods. However, this party was disbanded by early 1980s.
